1. Cleaning Your Garments

Forget the washing machine! Harsh cycles, heat, and strong detergents can damage the unique surface of PVC and vinyl.

Spot Cleaning

For light marks or smudges, simply wipe the area gently with a soft, damp cloth. A microfiber cloth works especially well.

Hand Washing

If a deeper clean is needed, hand washing is the safest option.

  • Fill a basin with lukewarm water.

  • Add a small amount of mild, non-detergent liquid soap. Avoid powdered detergents, as they can leave residue behind.

  • Submerge the garment and gently wipe the surface using a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid scrubbing.

  • Rinse thoroughly with clean, cold water to remove all soap residue.

  • Never use harsh chemicals or alcohol-based cleaners, as these can damage the material and dull its shine.

2. Drying Is Key

The drying process is just as important as cleaning.

Hang to Dry

After rinsing, hang your garment on a hanger to air dry. Plastic or padded hangers are best to avoid marks.

Dry Inside Out First

To make sure the inner fabric layer dries completely, hang the garment inside out first. Once dry, turn it right side out to finish drying the outer layer.

Avoid Direct Heat

Never place PVC or vinyl garments in a tumble dryer. High heat can melt, warp, or crack the material. Keep garments away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources while drying.

3. Proper Storage

Correct storage helps prevent wrinkles, colour transfer, and long-term damage.

Hang, Don’t Fold

Folding can create permanent creases or cracks. Hanging your garment is always the best option.

Prevent Colour Transfer

PVC and vinyl can absorb dye from other fabrics, especially in humid conditions. Store each item separately or use a garment bag for protection. Light-coloured pieces, especially white garments, should be kept away from darker colours to avoid transfer.

Store in a Cool, Dry Place

Keep your items away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity to preserve their finish and flexibility.

4. Avoid These Common Mistakes

To keep your Anadincrafts clothing in pristine condition, avoid the following:

  • Ironing — Heat will melt or damage PVC and vinyl.

  • Overstretching — Excessive stretching can distort the material or cause tearing.

  • Oil-Based Products — Perfumes, lotions, deodorants, and oils can stain or damage the surface.
